For free parking make sure you park at the Wells Fargo across the street. There is an outdoor parking lot that you can park in for free. The attendant there leaves at 7pm. Otherwise, if you park in the parking garages you will have to pay through an automated payment machine.
We had a great turn out at Oakley last night. Thanks to Randall for letting us use their space and the tour as well as the pizza and drinks that were provided. And thanks to Robert for an engaging presentation on Git. I didn’t get an exact head count but I believe we had about 15 or more in attendance.
As most of you know we’re not able to meet at Microsoft any longer due to our contact at Microsoft, Gerald, no longer works at Microsoft and he couldn’t find anybody else to sponsor us. We want to thank Microsoft for helping us get started off the ground.
It’s after 5pm on Weds and we still have no confirmed venue available to us. We had Alex from McAfee and Deb Reynolds ready and willing to present on security and MasterView framework, respectively, but no venue other than a public restaurant which is not a presentation-friendly environment we have no venue available. So I’m officially relegating the meeting to being a Panera meeting to those that want to go and want to thank Alex and Deb for offering their services. Hopefully next month we’ll have better results.
In the meantime, check with your boss, your friends, your associates, etc. to see if we can meet at a place that can seat about 20 people with a projector after 7pm on a 4th Thursday night.
